I do think TRUTH has to come into play way more than it does. And Joe you are right that every time he opens his mouth he lies. I think Kamala didn't have enough time to do what she needed to do to connect with the lower class and she didn't connect and lost! She also kept talking about the middle class that were people that weren't hurting as much as the middle class. She should have targeted the lower classes because those are the people that are living in poverty (joe biden did) and even though they talked about Project 2025, many never heard of the Heritage Foundation which I knew of because I read books like Dark Money that explained it in full. But for most people that didn't understand thought it was more like Science Fiction. Joe you are right, we all have to get together and accept everyone no matter what income bracket!
Hey Joe, cause you brought up student debt… what about reform? Compounding interest means you can make payments for a decade and somehow owe more than you borrowed with no end in sight. And why are they the single form of debt excluded from discharge in bankruptcy? We forgave an awful lot of PPP loans - many to members of Congress, but young people can’t catch a break.
Both writers gave convincing arguements about guns and genes. If these issues stood alone i would be all in witj them. But they do not stand alone when we are fighting authoritarianism. When everything is critically important, then nothing is important. Right now the fight is for the Constitution and human rights. You are right to keep this in the forefront. The other battles will still be with us...if we have defended our freedom.

Agreed on the big tent if Democrats want to win! With an authoritarian federal government the elections are not going to be normal and they need a bigger margin to win than in normal times.
There’s a much stronger authoritarian streak in the DNC than the RNC had pre-2016. The top down selection of candidates and priorities just doesn’t work.
The Democrat brand is at a historic low for a reason. It needs candidates that are strong for the district, not just central committee chosen, ideologically dogma role players.
With the GOP in the state it’s in now, it has a built in ‘other’ to campaign against if it can tolerate people who believe that only biological women should play in women’s sports instead of making them into the enemy.
