This Saturday, June 14, is Flag Day. It’s the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, too. By unfortunate happenstance, it’s also Donald Trump’s 79th birthday. As you know, Trump is planning a big, expensive military parade in Washington, D.C., to celebrate. Kind of like this:

That is why this Saturday, June 14, is also No Kings Day.

It’s not about left or right. It’s about freedom versus tyranny. It’s about whether we want to live in a democracy, or under one man’s rule. No Kings Day belongs to the American people. It is the day we rise up—peacefully, loudly, and proudly—to say:

“No kings. Not here. Not now. Not ever.”
